Plans Change

Listen, react and fix the plan. No writing. Say every answer out loud.

⏱ About 6–8 minutes
How to do it

Hear it → answer → flip

Try first. The model is only there to check your idea.
① Listen once
② Answer out loud
③ Flip after speaking
1 · Listening + speaking flashcards

Can the plan survive?

Four quick situations. Each one uses language from Lesson 6 in a new way.
1

Catch the exact meaning

What is the important limit?

A · She needs to be back by six.
B · She needs to be there at six.

Say A or B out loud — then explain the time limit in your own words.

A · back by six

be back by six = return no later than 6:00.

Say one new example: “I need to be back by ___.”

2

The time doesn’t work

Your friend changes the time. React and confirm the new time.

Do not repeat the whole message.

One natural response

“No problem. Five fifteen works for me. Where should we meet?”

No problem. Sounds good. Where should we meet?
3

Follow the information

Ask ONE connected question because of what you just heard.

Not a random small-talk question. Follow the detail.

Possible questions

“What are you doing after orientation?”
“What time are you free?”
“Do you want to meet after that?”

Any question that follows the information is correct.

4

No word? Keep talking.

Your phone is at 5%. You forgot the English word charger.

Ask another student for it without saying the word.

It’s something you use to… I don’t know the exact word, but…

One way to survive

“I don’t know the exact word, but do you have something I can use to charge my phone?”

Success = the other person understands you.

2 · Real voice challenge

Sofia changes the plan

This is a real recorded voice. Listen once, then answer immediately.

Change or confirm the plan. Include a time + one useful question.

Need a rescue phrase?

“No problem. Could we meet after your orientation instead? What time does it finish?”

🎙
3 · Finish

20–30 second voice note

Imagine a classmate says: “I can’t meet at four anymore. Can we meet at five?”

Reply naturally. Include:

✓ reaction ✓ confirm/change the time ✓ meeting point ✓ one follow-up question

No full script. Keywords only if you need help.
